Where was Canon?

[SimonTALM]

I went to Chester Zoo yesterday to www.comparethemeerkat.com and, as you do, I was taking a sneaky peak at the DSLRs others are using and 1 thing struck me I couldn't spot a Canon camera.

There were plenty of Nikons (a D3 with 80-200 f2.8, something with a 70-200 VR on it - I think a D300 plus plenty of Dxx's), I saw a number of Sony's and an odd Pentax but not once did I spot a Canon .

I know Nikon have been very good in gaining market share recently but for canon to disappear completely .

[Steve Smith]

Perhaps they were embarassed to be seen in public.

[machiner]

Probably it's the price mate. In comparison to some other makes.

Went for a drive yesterday, didn't see any BMWs, think they've stopped making them

My calculations say otherwise, of the 6 eating lunch, nikon 4 canon 2

[Ant]

Canon users go into the wildlife to get pictures of animals.

Nikon users are lazy, and go the zoo...

[Lufbrarunner]

I was at Chester Zoo last weekend with a group of 15. 10 Canon, 4 Nikon and 1 sony

[Dave-G]

Canon users shoot wildlife not captive

In all honesty does it matter? the main thing is there were people taking pictures and enjoying the hobby, regardless of make or preference.

[artona]

Didn't you hear, yesterday amongst Canon owners we all agree to give Nikon a Chance day.........

[john-oh]

I assume they were all 'Chimping' like mad ?

You obviously didn't look in the elephant enclosure. They always use Canon.
