Yesterday I drove past a Kestrel perched on a telephone wire, today it was a Buzzard on the top of a telegraph pole and a couple of weeks back it was a pair of Buzzards fighting over a road kill rabbit in the middle of the lane...

:bang:

From now the passenger seat is the cameras seat!!

What have you seen and thought 'if only I'd of had my camera with me...'?

I was at a bike race once, i think it was at donington race track, anyway... one motorcyclist had a bad crash at the start of the race... funny thing is.. i had my camera pointing at him, it just wasn't prepared!

I'm sure most of us on this forum can say the same thing. Bloomin' frustrating isn't it ?

I kept my camera in the car for ages after a spell like that, and still only got a shot like this of the buzzard:

Don't leave the camera on the seat. I put the strap over the passenger headrest and it stops it hitting the dash if you need to brake hard.

I see stuff whilst out walking the dog int he morning. It's a little dark now for me to carry it around, but I'm seeing lots of foxes, rabbits, sparrowhawk etc.

We've also got deer. Not bad for in a town

A Heron perched on my neighbours house opposite & was mobbed by some more 'run of the mill' birds. My gadget bag was 6' away from me, but by the time I'd grabbed it, changed the lens, switched it on, it was a distant memory. :bang:

Mine's either out of juice, at home, or I leave it in the car whilst walking the mutts. The animals are watching me, I'm convinced of it.

Up in Scotland a few months ago (Glentanner estate) and there perched on a fence at the side of the road was what I reckon was a golden eagle (it was a massive BoP anyway. we had a look at a few books etc afterwards and it was the closest we could see). Had my camera in the boot of the car - unfortunately not the car I was in at the time! screaming I was. Went back the next day on the hunt but saw nothing.

That photo just needs crosshairs lol.

I always used to bung the camera in the glove box or in the larger case in the passenger foot well, I still missed shots because I was either driving or it was to dark.
Missed a lot of owls and badgers that way

I drove past a Fox and cubs at the side of the road at about 3am. They didn't run off when I parked up and I had the camera on the passenger seat. Unfortunately I couldn't take any images because the card could not be used because it had stuff on it. By the time I get another card out they had gone.

They are doing a big gas pipe repair over the road from work, from the Window I spotted an engineer cutting through a pipe with a FAG in his mouth!! Massive NO smoking sign fairly close to him too, tried to get a pic on my blackberry but was a bit far away, was gutted.

Would love to have had my SLR. Not as good but managed to quickly snap this one years ago.
