which 50mm Prime

I am looking to add a 50mm prime to my kit. I shoot a few boxing events and currently use 35mm 1.4, the extra length will be handy. I also do small wedding shoots for family members.

I have narrowed it down to the Sigma 50mm 1.4 ART and the Canon 1.2L - Can anyone shed any light on performance. Obiviously Low Light performance and focus speed are key in my selection.

I don't have those but I do like the 1.4 Canon... I have heard the Canon 1.2 is amazing once you get the hang of the depth of field. Sorry it's not quite the answer you were hoping for but maybe it is some help.

Oh you meant the new version of the Sigma lens? Well that blows away the old version...

That said the canon will win between 1.2-1.4!

yes the new Sigma, heard that it focus's quicker than the Canon. But would like the views of people that use them on a day to day basis.
