There is really very little choice in strong screw-in (which is what you need to prevent lights leaks) ND filters - B+W six stops or ten stops. You can also get a Hoya X400 which is nine stops, special order only and even more expensive (but probably better because it's coated).

but 77mm are the most expensive!
And it's just a daft idea. And the lens hood won't fit.
Unless you need a common size to fit your other lenses.
