Yes
I have a small Slingshot bag for times when I'm out with my camera and a lens or two, but I'd like a bigger backpack for longer trips. Needs to be able to hold a D300 with mounted lens (say a 70 - 200 2.8 - I hope to upgrade one day) and 3/4 other lenses, flash, filters, cards, leads, external tripod and preferably a pocket for keys, lunch, gloves etc. Any recommendations ?

I have been looking for a bigger backpack and think you should look at the Kata 3n1 range. The 3n1 30 looks to be about the size your after and will fit all your kit in.You will need to buy the additional tripod holder to carry your tripod or you could make your own up.

What about a fastpack?

I guess you would need the larger one (350:shrug:) but they have a seperate compartment at the top for bits like lunch and stuff. I use the 250 and keep the charger, spare batteries and lunch in the top bit and it is very comfortable for a long walk

I literally today just got my Fastpack 350 and it's GREAT! It would do everything you need it to. Except for maybe the external tripod doodad. Although there is a flap with 2 buckles which you could maybe slibe the tripod through horizontally.

It may technically be a little too big for what I need right now but I have heard alot of people say always buy a bag that is a little too big for your current gear since most people will get more at some point.
It fits my camera in with 70-200 attached and my other 2 lenses and flash. There is room for another lens/flash depending what I get next. The top compartment holds my batteries, cable release, body/lens caps PC adaptors and memory cards with plenty room for sandwiches and jaffa cakes

I think the Micro Trekker might not be much better than you have, but a LowePro Mini-Trekker AW might be a good option. It's a small-mid sized backpack and will easily take a 70-200 (hood reversed) and a hooded 24-70 (one on camera), with space for two or three primes, a speedlight and extras. Padded back, large-ish pocket at the front, tripod straps, and a waterproof cover.

...all depends on your sandwiches :D

As they say, pictures tell 1000 words.

Hope these make it easier to understand what I was on about.

P.S. Sorry for the poor quality shots. As you can see my camera is in the bag. :bonk:

I just bought a Lowepro Mini Trekker AW from Jessops last weekend for £59...
Should carry all your kit...
