Which Budget Laptop?

Hey Guys

I have about £300 to spend on a new laptop and I want something that can surf the net, watch a few videos and play very light gaming.

The trouble is I don't know what I'm looking for .... Is an AMD A6 processor better than the Intel i3 for example?
Or is a dual core 2.9ghz better than a quad core 1.5ghz?

Feel free to suggest an alternative, it must be brand new (not after refurbished) and from a reputable supplier

Either of your choices would suffice, but I would stretch the budget and get more RAM at least 6Gb.

Light gameing and budget laptops kind of dont go hand in hand as its dedicated graphics you need for games.

older games are ok on some laptops but new stuff not so.
