Now that I am adding to my kit with new lenses etc .. I need a new camera bag that will hold all my gear.. the problem is there is such a variety out there and its difficult to really pick by looking at the pics  Any help and guidance to the best buy /quality build etc would be much appreciated..

At the moment i have a canon 40d (with grip)..70-200is / 50mm 1.4mm/ 70-85 mm /10-22mm/ some filters/batteres /flash cards /and other bits and bobs that I would like to fit this lot into :)

Got up to 80 pounds to spend may get wife to buy for xmas pressie:)

any help on putting me in the right direction

What kind are you looking at - shoulder bag, waist belt, backpack, torso pack etc.

Crumpler are really good, not cheap but dont shout camera inside. There fitting guides can be a bit on the generous side!

Lowepro again really good, do all sorts, well made and probably a bit more accurate on their fitting guides.

Kata - good quality, look a bit more like a camera bag, quiet expensive.

Billingham - classic camera bags if you like those

The list goes on, redsnapper (advertiser on here) does some bags at very good prices, never had one so cant comment.

Thanks for the reply >> it would prob be a shoulder or backpack type that I would go for ...:)

Lowepro Mini Trekker AW here. Within your budget and currently holds my 40D, gripped with either the 70-200 F4.0 or 24-70 F2.8 attached and the other one next to it. 580EX II, a few cards, leads, other teeny bits. Could probably fit a 10-20 in there too. Nice walkround bag if you want a backpack.

Lowerpro stealth reporter 400aw here, holds a d2hs with 70-200 and a D200 with a 28-70 on (d200 will be gripped soon and theres plenty of space for it), flashgun kept under the padding of the d200 and a few other pockets to spare

Lowepro Mini Trekker, Nova range if you prefer a shoulder bag.

The Tamrac bags are well worth a look aswell - very well padded out

I am looking for a bigger bag currently have stealth reporter 300 but it wont take D200 gripped with 17-55 and D80 with 18-200
will the 400 take this pair or any other suggestions would be appreciated

Goneforagasper ive got the 400 aw, it fits a d2hs with a 70-200 2.8 attatched and a gripped D200 with a 28-70 2.8 on it as well as a flash and a few bits around the edges, its a snug fit but it works very very well

Thanks for that Frenzied, I was wondering whether to go for Tamrac pro 12 but the Lowepro ones are more readily available and if the 400 will fit my gear it gives me more options
Thanks again

Only issue i have with it is the apparent easy access from the top zip, yeah like your going to get a d200 out of there let alone a gripped one XD

In my Lowepro Fastpack 350 I can fit a gripped 40D with 100-400mm attached, plus my 17-85mm and 10-20mm, plus have space for any extras.

some good choices thanx a lot for the info had a good look and think its between the Lowepro Mini Trekker AW or the Lowerpro stealth reporter 400aw
unless of course there are any others that can be pointed too

Also im not sure if its on still but i think there was an offer on the lowerpro 400aw for tp members in the classifieds
