Which Camera??

Hi

I am both new to photography and this forum!

I would like advice on buying a camera!

I am looking at buying a camera and spending around £600, i will want the camera to be for general all round use, although i am studying architecture so therefore take plenty of building pictures.

The camera's i have currently been looking at are:

- Canon 400d

- Canon 450d (when it comes out)

- Nikon d80


Can anyone recommened one or any other cameras around my budget??

There have been lots of posts on here about which camera and everyone has a different opinion of which is best.

The main piece of advise I learnt when i started looking is to get to a shop and handle some of the models you are interested in, see which feels right in your hands.

Have a look at Pentax etc as well so you can compare how they all feel.

Buy the one you are comfortable with (y)
 
Best advice, as always, is go and handle them all, see what feels best in your hands. What feels "right" for one person won't be right for another.

All the cameras you're looking at are more than capable of producing decent images.

It also depends what lenses you're going to be using, as that can have a major effect on your results.

If you're looking at building pictures you could also consider a wide angle lens, like the Sigma 10-20, at around £289.99. :)
