Which cheap compact £50-£100?

Hi All - I'm looking for a cheap compact for my Mum between £50 and £100. It has to be pretty simple and easy to use with half decent image quality. A lot to ask for such a cheap price I know. I've heard good reports about Panasonic Lumix models but not sure how good the bottom range ones actually are?
Any help and advice would be much appreciated.
