Which DVD slideshow software?

I have a very old copy of Proshow gold, but I am not happy with the quality it outputs when playing the disks through a DVD player and TV.

Can anyone recommend anything? It needs to be preferably PC based, allow music to be added to the pictures, produce nice DVD menus, play through DVD players and is to present to Clients so needs to produce decent results. I am not bothered about cheesy transitions, I want it to be clean and contemporary.

The newest ProShow Gold seems to give off good results I find.

I tried Magix and was not very happy with it. I now use ProShow gold, a much better product.
