Hi Guys

Sorry I am sure this has been done before but the search feature has been removed for a while so I have to ask..

I am going to start putting together a few lenses to go in my camera bag and wonder what the collective wisdom says is the way to go, Cokin, Lee, Square, Round etc...

I am thinking, 1 or 2 ND’s and a couple of grey grads plus a polariser.

Any Thoughts?

Cheers

M.

A lot of people, me included, will say lee is the way to go. Polarisers obviously have to be round, hoya for that no probs, Hoya PRO-1 Digital if you can get one, a set of grads, ND2, ND4 and ND8 but if you only want 2 grads then id go ND4 and ND8, if your after a 10 stop ND my personal preference is a screw in but im sure others would disagree. When it comes to standard filters (other than polarisers or ND1000) id go slot in systems, better value for money and most of the time better filters (although the proper quality ones like lee are quite expensive, unfortunately i can only dream of those so im with cokin p series atm). Standard ND's are probably better as a slot in as well but i havent tried them so couldn't say for definate.

Also, hope your a preston fan big fella, im sick of seeing man utd fans in preston. Where abouts in preston? I grew up in garstang myself, left to join the royal navy when i was 16 and live in plymouth now, miss the matches :(.

:)
