Hi I am looking to get a fast external flash gun for my Nikon d300s and was wondering if anyone had any ideas? any good tutorials on external flash guns? also looking for a wide aperture lens and fish eye any suggestions?! thanks in advance!

I've not long invested in an SB800, very happy with it and hope to add more Nik lights in future (hoping to keep everything CLS compatible). Depends on budget though as I was also looking at Nissin and Younguo with cheapo triggers as an alternative.

SB700 or SB900 if your wanting to have the Nikon CLS

Or a SH SB600 or SB800, both of which are also CLS compatible.

One thing to be aware of is that the SB900 is big for a speedlight - so much so that if you have a smallish kit bag, it may be a bit of a pain to fit it in.

Or a SH SB600 or SB800, both of which are also CLS compatible.

Or Nissin di622mk2 or di866mk2 which are both CLS compatible, although the 622 is locked to Ch 1 Group A.

(edit, and the Yongnuo YN565 for Nikon should be CLS compatible, if it ever gets released)

I had an SB600 and it was a good flash - got the SB900 now and much prefer it as the controls are much better but it is more and around £300. If you can find the extra then it is worth it but if not either 600 or 800 will do.
