In the past I had a canon 500d but had to sell due to money problems. My girlfriend just bought me a canon 30d and I was wondering if its a better camera than my old one. I know its old now but first impressions are it seems good.
I've read different reviews on it and they say its everything from an beginners to a pro, so not exactly that helpful lol
So would you say its worse, better or about the same as my old one. Thanks :)
 
Just actually found a website comparing the 2 cameras and it said that the 500d was better than a 30d. Never mind, kinda hoped it was classed as a better bit of kit.
 
The 500d has a newer processor, more Mp and has generally newer features. However the build quality isn't the same. The 30d has a metal body and LCD screen which the 500d doesn't.
It is still a very capable camera and will take a few knocks as well. Once you get used to the size and handling any 5xx or 5xxx model will fee tiny and light.
