Which is more pleasing, 4,6 or 8 pointed stars?

Going to take advantage of the exchange rate being good against the USD and am going to pickup a star filter this week. Before anyone says it, I know a similar effect can be produced with tiny apertures, but I don't want to be limited in that respect.

The real question is; which is more pleasing to the eye, a 4, 6 or 8 pointed star?

Personally I can't make my mind up at the moment.......

Depends on whose eye I would imagine.

id guess 6 or 8 myself. prob go for 6 as it is the middle one, 4 will probably look too few and 8 probably look too many. dependant on the sizes of the stars obviously

When answering questions like this, I always look to late 70's Top Of The Pops for inspiration..

6 stars would seem to be the way to go
