Which lens for a gift??

Hi i am looking to buy a lens for my girlfriend she has a Sony ax200 DSLR she wants to photograph landscapes mainly and very keen on trees, i have done some research and think she would use a telephoto lens 70-300mm but i have no idea what will fit her camera and obviously can't ask her.

So has anyone any advice or recomendations any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Dave,

Most people who own a DSLR know what lens they want next and probably have their eye on what they want to buy.

So really it would be worth asking and not making it a surprise or getting her vouchers for somewhere like Warehouse Express or Jessops?

Last thing you want is to spend a lot of money on a lens and turns out she never wanted it.
 
Oh ok Not quite what i had planned but i can see the point, as she only has the lens it came with i thought i wouldn't go far wrong.

Do all lenses fit or are only certain makes available for the sony?

Maybe i'll have to play safe and get the second option of an ipad
