which lens to keep?

I picked up a couple of lenses off eBay for my D70, I don't need both but the guy wouldn't split them.

Nikon 35-70mm f3.3-4.5 metal mount
Sigma 28-105 f4-5.6 uc

Which would be the one to keep?

I'd offload them both and get something like tamron 17-50mm f/2.8

Keep the one that gives you the best focal lengths you need. You must have had some idea of what you wanted to shoot with them so try and shoot with both and see which you prefer.

I'm going to keep them both. Went out with the sigma today and that will stay on I think. I'll sell the 35-70 with the D70 when I have the funds for a D200 and 50mm 1.8 later in the year.
