Which lens?

Opinions please, i'm looking at the tamron 17-50 vc or nikon 16-85 as my second lens on a nikon d7000 as opposed to the nikon 18-55

I think i could use the extra wide angles and the speed of the tamron,both are cheap enough unless you can push me otherwise

It'll be for landscape and family captures etc

I bought a used Tamron 17-50 non vr off this forum for a D7000 now use it on a D7100, wild horses could not make me part with it, its a fantastic lens for the price.

I'm worried that i couldn't use a non vr/vc lens due to slight tremors from an injury,although for landscape i'd use a tripod as my main use is a tamron 150-600 in the field.

If you can use a decent shutter speed it should not be a problem, easy for me to say though as I am not in your shoes, if you need a lower shutter speed there is always your tripod to fall back on, but if in your in doubt get the vr version, from what I read the non vr version is supposedly sharper, but I have no experience of that, only what I have read on this forum.
