Which Macro Lens

Hi,

I'm looking for my first Macro Lens, never used a Macro and fancy one.

So what would you advise to start of with
 
I'd suggest the Canon EF 100mm f2.8 Macro USM, wonderful quality for the price - I used to have that before upgrading to the IS version.

Other popular choices are: Tamron 90mm Di Macro 1:1 f2.8 and the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro

Or reverse your 50mm of you want to try it first.

I've had a sigma 105mm, very good and one of the cheaper true macro lenses. I've heard good things about the tampon 90mm too. If budget is a problem there are a few shorter, around 60mm that are cheaper.
 
Tamron 90mm Di Macro 1:1 f2.8 is good very sharp but it has external focusing which can be a pain.

I now have a Canon EF 100mm f2.8 Macro USM which is very nice, I wont be changing it any time soon.

You might want some tubes too if you dont have any.

So Thats was Tamron......Lol.

Ill go for the Canon 100 for now and see how i get on.
