Having just found out about this forum i would like to post my first question. I am looking to upgrade my monitor or should i say i want to plug a monitor to my laptop. I was looking in PC world at the HP 2301 at £180. Has anyone got any recommendations for a monitor for picture editing around the £200 mark.

I would suggest trying to find a monitor which has a good IPS panel rather than LED etc, as this would be better for colour accuracy and photo editing. Something like an HP ZR24w if you could stretch the budget a little more.

Thanks for the advice, its available for sure at £215. I noticed though it does not have HDMI input. Not too concerned at the moment though as my laptop does not have HDMI output anyway but i would still have to think about this as an option for future pc upgrades. Any others that could be a contender.
