Which standard prime for D7000...Nikon 50mm F1.8D AF Nikkor Lens or Nikon AF-S DX 35mm f1.8G Lens

It's not 'g' but that's important but it just so happens that the 35mm 1.8g and 50mm 1.8g are also AFS lenses which means they have their own internal focussing motor. Without this lower end nikon cameras cannot auto focus as they don't have an auto focus motor in the body itself. For your d7000 it doesn't really matter as your camera has its own AF motor.
Personally, I liked my 35mm better on a crop body than my 50mm so 35mm would be my recommendation.

35mm G here also, great lens, 50mm equivalent on a crop which is THE standard focal length.
however if you are looking for nice bokeh, the 35mm f1.8G isn't very nice at all. 50mm probably will do better.
really? at f/1.8, all i get is hard edged light bubbles. i thought nice bokeh is non-distracting soft edged bubbles.i totally disagree with that, the 35mm can produce fantastic bokeh if set up correctly
