Yes
Having traded in my dx lenses I will have approx £400 to spend and one thing I was looking at was adding a proper flash to my kit. The 2 flash units I was looking at are the sb700 and sb910. This will be for general use ie: some portrait and some flower/wild scenes etc. I will also add a set of triggers to use off camera and off camera sync cord.
If I get the lighting bug I would also add a second or third cheaper/third party units for back lighting etc but thought it would pay to have at least one Nikon speedlight.
Your thoughts please.

Don't rule out the sb-800 can be got for around £200 used much prefer it to my SB-700.

The SB800 is better than the SB700 but the 910 is the one to get if you have the money.

SB800 seems popular with you guys! Is it the extra power over the 700 or better functions?

Extra power plus better build is the reason I like it more. You could buy 2 of them for the price of an SB-910.

Problem is my money is tied into local camera shop who fronted my dx lenses and buying something from them is minimal commission where as straight commission sale will cost me double for the cash. They are big on the Nissin models but I have read about some issues they have with triggers and underexposing.
