Yes
Its between Nikon 50mm f1.8 or the Nikon 35mm f2. lets here all you views on the above 2 lens

what are planning on using them for?

I've used the 35mm 1.8 and it was a great lens, and my old AI-s 50mm 1.8 is also great.

Wasn't that the 35mm 1.8 AFS DX lens

 doesn't the OP want to know about the AFD version of the 35mm (seeing that he owns a D3) & being an f2

There's the difference of about £125+ if you buy new so depends if you want to spend under £100 or just over £200 (pending on if its new or used)

Both the 1.8 and 2 are very similar, my friend has the 2 on his d700 and loves it. I've never used it though so can't comment, just fell back on what I knew :)

On a D3, Id go with the 50mm f/1.8. Save yourself some cash and have a great "normal range" lens.

I had (35mm f2) on my D300s as it made it around 50mm - then I sold it to fund a Nikon 24-70 f2.8 then got a nifty fifty for my D700 :bang:

So I cant comment on what its like on a FF thou - I'd say save your pennies an get a cheap as chips "nifty fifty"....
