Four versions of a mid summers day sunrise at the Cornwood Maidens with the foreground going from lighter to darker.

Another thought..... I'd have a look at cropping a wee bit off the bottom - maybe up to the roots of that clump of rushes bottom-right. Might make a difference in how much darkening of the foreground you wanted. And if you did, maybe just a sliver less on the left???
 
I had to google what Cornwood Maidens is. Looked a bit rude to me. 1 or 2 should suit most displays.
 
Thanks for the replies. Interesting that on my computer I would have gone for either 2 or 3 on my lpad I would pick either 1 or 2. As a lot of people now view images on a tablet rather than a monitor, Would you now process with that in mind. Looking at the general consensus 2 would appear to be the decision. As for cropping a bit off the bottom, possibly but would not want to take anything off the left as it would start to cramp the sunrise and bite into the glow above the far hill.
