which one?

im upgrading my kit lens with a budget of £350, i have looked at the tamron 17-50mm f2.8 or the sigma 28-70mm f2.8. which is better?

The tamron is a fantastic lens for the money,no experience ot the 28-70 though

i used to find 24-70 and 24-60 alittle restrictive and not wide enough so out of the two would go Tamron 17-50

I havent tried either lens, but 28mm at the wide end may be too restricting? I suppose it depends how often you want to be able to go wide!!

The Tamron is a great lens that I regret getting rid of.

I have no experience of the Sigma but have just picked up a new Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8 - 4.5 from MPB for less than £150 which was an absolute bargain.

i looked at that one but most people get a lens that is constant e.g. 50mm f/1.4
