Sorry this isn't a high tech DSLR question, ill move to that later on:thumbs:!

I've just booked a holiday and want to get a P&S camera and i think i've narrowed it down to just two;
fujifilm jz300
and the
panasonic fs30.
but they both have their pros and cons, but im not sure which to go for. Im looking to spend £120/£140 tops. If you have a better idea for me i'd be more than happy to consider that too.

Look at a used Panasonic, or a fuji refurb from the fuji shop.

Are you limited on size? I ask because there is a fuji S6500FD in the classifieds for £90 which is a steal, but it is DSLR sized.

Out of the two models you've listed in the first post I'd go for the panasonic. I don't know much about either camera, but I've always found Panasonic models to be excellent quality, very well built and produce wonderful images.
Just my opinion though. :)

For that price range i'd look for a panasonic tz7. I'm not sure of the price of a new one, but you'd definately get a used one.

a friend of mine raves about Fujis and their low light ability, seen some of her photos and for the money they seem to produce excellent little snappers.

I have a Canon S90 which has been replaced by the S95. This is a fantastic point and shoot but allows you complete control. No idea how much used ones are though. New they are quite a bit over your budget

The Canon S90 is a great camera and it'd be worth trying to track down a second-hand one in your budget. I managed to get a Lumix LX3 for £210 in the new year sales and it's a wonderful camera but they still seem quite pricey second-hand.

George.
