Which Pentax zoom?

Yes
After something a bit longer than the Samsung D Xenon 50-200 which came with my kx. Having had a bit of a look around I've come across:

Pentax SMC DAL 55-300mm F4-5.8 ED Lens for £130 (plastic mounts)

or the

Sigma DG 70-300MM F4.5/5.6 APO MACRO for £170 which seems to get quite good reviews.

The DAL is the same optics as the DA, you'll not get the quick-shift focus (which the Sigma also doesn't have), the lens hood (which can be picked up cheaply on ebaay) and it has a plastic raather than a metal mount (though apparently the plastic is quite durable).

While the Macro mode on the Sigma isn't bad, the overall picture quality, especially at 300mm, of the Pentax is better. Considering it's also cheaper, I know which one I'd get!

The Pentax 55-300 is definitely the best choice in the "consumer" zooms.

If budget is limited though the Tamron 70-300 is as sharp as the Pentax at 300mm, it does suffer obvious purple fringing and the colour/contrast isn't quite as good as the Pentax though
