which sigma lens??

Right iv had some good reviews from some of you for the sigma 17-35mm f2.8 and now id like to know what people think of the sigma 17-70mm f2.8 and which id be better to get

Dans, the 17-70mm is only f2.8 at 17mm. It goes to f4.5 as you move up.

Have you considered the Tamron 17-50mm f2.8, it is very highly rated.

If you have the cash then the Pentax DA* 16-50mm f2.8.
Otherwise the Pentax DA 17-70 f4, Tamron 17-50mm f2.8, Pentax DA 16-45mm f4 or Sigma 17-70mm (in that order).

Not saying the Sigma is bad by any stretch, just that there are better lenses if you can afford them.

Oh .. do I remember you are moving platforms? .. in which case forget all that lot
