I have made the bold step of getting a Canon 70-200 F2.8 IS II (which is way beyond my talent) and need to organise a strap.
Am I right in assuming that I would attach a sling strap to the lens rather than my camera?
At the moment I leave my Giottos tripod head plate attached to my body all the time and would like to do the same with a sling strap. Its not a Manfrotto so won't work with the Black Rapid FastenR-T1 TRIPOD.
I've tried to read up this as much as possible but wonder how non Manfrotto users overcome this.
