Am about to delve into the world of wireless remote triggers.... not really looked into this much before, had a look on e-bay the there seems to be some starting at £3 delivered from hong kong, and other going up to £150....

Dont suppose anyone can point me in the right direction can they??

I just want something that will work with no problems etc....

Seems like for a cheapish set..the yongnuo rf603's get a good write up..ive just ordered some to see what they are like..

then you have pocketwizards etc at the other end of the scale, which are alot more expensive.
 
What are you wanting to trigger?
 
are they flash triggers??? I am looking for a shutter trigger if poss, sorry, I obviously didnt make that clear in the first post :-/

Because the 603s can only trigger the shutter manually. The 602s can do it from the hotshot as well.
 
7dayshop do a nice cheap set of triggers that work for flash and camera approx £25
for a pair, when used for flash there is no ttl data though.
 
I use 603's. I bought half a dozen cheap on ebay which lets a couple get stacked on hotshoe- one connected up for shutter, the other for triggering off camera flash at same time. Up to three off camera flashguns and one as a wireless trigger for the whole set up. All for less than the price of a pocketwizard. Provided batteries have a decent charge I've had no problems.

Can you remotely trigger a second camera from No1 camera another via the hotshoe on the 1st camera with these remotes?

To be honest it's all I need for the project I have in mind, maybe later I will upgrade but I just need to trigger a single camera wirelessly, thanks for everyone's help

Just tried my rf603's and I couldn't get it to trigger a camera from another one...only if you don't have it on the hotshoe and press the fire button...bit rubbish! Glad i didn't solely buy them for this purpose!
 
I don't know, I've only got one camera but I can't see why not as it's just a trigger. I use a D3100 which has a cable between RF603 an D3100 as a shutter trigger. It should either be as simple as the same arrangement on camera 2 with both triggers synced back to handheld wireless remote or perhaps double stacking 603's to the main camera hotshoe. First one connected to camera as a trigger second one as wireless trigger as I currently use for off camera flash trigger. Third one on second camera with cable for shutter release as required.

The 603 cable to the shutter release just looks like a small stereo jack so if this didn't work then a stereo splitter cable to allow both cameras to be plugged into the same 603 for shutter release might work.
 
Been there, there is a time lag when stacking them and they can't cope with firing two cameras from one unit..........it burns out.

Hi

Did you ever get this to work as I think it's the same as I'm trying to achieve but having problems with.

I have two rf-603s - one connected to remote trigger release on the remote camera and the other sitting on the hotshoe of the main camera. When I take a shot from the main camera I want it to trigger the shutter on the remote camera. This would work on my old triggers.

Triggering the remote camera by pressing the button on the rf-603 works fine!
