Which Tripod?

Hi

I have a Manfrotto 458B Netoec and 468 MGRC2 ball head, which I really like for work at home. Its sturdy and flexible in its set up however I am doing more and more outdoor work and I am finding it too heavy and cumbersome. Does anyone have any recommendations on a decent tripod and head set-up for outdoor work? I have recently used a friend’s FEISOL Tournament C3442. A good little tripod for outdoor work - but maybe not so flexible.

Thanks

Budget?

Neotec is a clever design but heavy as you say, and not that rigid TBH. Feisol are good, and good value, like quite a few Chinese-branded tripods these days (actually, they're almost all made in China anyway, even the European brands). Triopo is another, and so is Benro. Benro have a very good rep for high quality at about half the cost of Gitzo.

Benro are cheapest through Ebay. A lot of folks on here use this place - DC's Store. Excellent fast and reliable service. I have a Benro C-257 with J-2 head (y) http://stores.ebay.com/DCs-Photography-Store
