Which way to go for baby photography?

I ve been away from here for a while but due to the imminent arrival of my first child I can see me getting back into taking photos in a big way. I use to have a d90 but as I wasn't using it much I chopped it all in , treated myself to a little sony nex 3 and the 16 mm pancake lens. However this doesn't strike me as the best set up for taking pictures of the little one.
I m wondering whether to buy some new lenses for the sony or maybe have a change all together for something like the fuji x100. Any opinions ?

I bought an Olympus Pen E-PM1 with Sigma 30/2.8 for exactly this purpose. The m43 sensor gets more of the baby in focus at wide apertures, where you are typically shooting indoors for the first few weeks. AF seems prety good and it's nice and small.

you want prime from 50mm+ or the big fast zooms. 16mm is crazy wide, keep it away
