I have a wireless one listed below, first in the list there. Ive used it a number of times without issue and would buy it again...until I found the more expensive one. That one gives you some more options. You could shoot time lapse, maybe easier control over star trails and also setting times with darker neutral density filters - a 10 stopper for example.
I prefer these to wired due to the flexibility. The infrared versions only work if pointed at the front of the camera.
