i love macro photography and i think if i could actually afford a decent macro lens that its the only thing i would be doing lol
i love all of the detail that you are able to capture :D

since i am a student and obviously can't afford a macro lens, which equipment is best but for affordable price?

and how much roughly would it be - i am thinking possible xmas pressies for me here :)

:plusone: for the Raynox 250 - cheap and cheerful if you are on a budget.

Will it fit a 77mm filter thread?

No. 67mm max. You could do it with a step-down ring but might get vignetting. Should be okay with longer lens though.

was thinking of my 70-200 L f2.8 IS

Should be okay, but a bit of a clumsy way with the stepping ring and, for a man of your means, a set of Kenko tubes would be better for £120-ish.

That's what I use with a f/4 vesrion of that lens. Very good

OK thanks what magnification can you get with this set up?

1:1 with all the tubes at 70mm. And everything else inbetween, at a good range of working distances.
