which zoom sigma 120-400, 150-500 or tokina 80-400

As title i'm down to these three but leaning towards the slightly faster tokina at 5.6 400mm anyone own/owned these lenses and which is sharpest at 400mm?

I had a tokina 80-400 briefly, it was a very compact lens but slow to focus and no stabiliser. Ive no experience with the other two but id bet they are both better than the tokina.

I had the sigma 120-400 but the AF kept failing on it so got a refund on it.

Have you thought about the sigma 400mm f5.6
You can pick these up cheap and if you are happy shooting wide open then it is a option. Beware there are many different versions so do your homework first.

The 400mm is good but only works open wide and has no stabilizer so I would not really suggest it for your main lens.

I would choose between the 120-400 and 150-500 depending on if you really need the 400-500 range. They are both quite sharp lenses and great value for money.
