Paid a really quick visit to the Zoo manged to get quite a few shots of the Cheetah and a couple of a Muntjac,

All with the 1D MK3 and 600 F4L on the tripod.

Are you sure the last is Muntjac ... ... looks a bit like one of those Chinese Water Deer thingies ... :shrug:

The Cheetahs are excellent, but I'm not so sure about the deer though.

Yep, looks like chinese water deer to me! its the fangs that do it!

i think venom has the id right on the deer, i dont think muntjac have tusks like that

Muntjac do have small tusks but thats a chinese water deer

The Cheetah was about 40 feet away i would say on rough guesstimate.

thanks guys one of my favourites too The Leopards (specially Snow) just pip them to the post, followed closely by Jaguars
