Whitby Abbey

Whitby Abbey has been on my of places to visit for a long time. Luckily last weekend I finally managed to get the chance. Unfortunately nothing too out of the ordinary as you can't get too many truly original shots of something photographed millions of times, but I'm really impressed as its been a while since I've been out with my camera which reminded me I need to get out more with it. To anyone who hasn't been, this place is amazing when it's sunny

I love whitby and climb the "199 steps" I think they are called up to the abbey on every visit, great shot of it in number 2, very scenic and you've captured the detail in the abbey's stonework, good job!

They're both well taken shots but I particularly like the first with its brooding quality and the semi silhouette of the ruined building set against that powerful sky.
