white balance card - help needed for wedding!

I've got a cheap Chinese copy of a expodisc £3 odd from fleabay - only really use it indoors when shooting under artificial light but it works a treat, if you use the histogram and blinkies its can be important as changing the white balance can affect if you are seeing clipping or not.

I like many of the vids of B P on youtube. Never read his books though. Yes, there is one vid on youtube where he states he uses cloudy WB 98% of the time. That's one I ignore, but I can't help but liking the geezer.
And his catchphrase at the end.................you keep shooting!...classic!;)

Write an e-book for down loading, I'm sure you'll make a living. ;)

I like BP too - he comes across as a cool and charismatic guy with that ageing rockstar look (like me! :D ). He's a handy photographer too. But how he can write an entire book about exposure, just updated last month for digital, and both dismiss the histogram and completely ignore the brilliant invention of blinkies, is quite beyond me.

E-books are interesting :) I actually believe that books on-line will come back big time (magazines and newpapers too, in a different form) when the technology for instant micropayments is properly developed. Bizarrely, the 'free' ethos of the web is slowly smothering its development with a billion tons of free rubbish, and the few nuggets of useful information hidden like a needle in a haystack. But that's nothing to do with white balance

The advantage of this is you dont look like a twonk chasing a bit of white / grey paper about when the wind catches it. Mine is on a cord, and i can PRE white balance in a second or so
