What in gods name possessed Canon to make silver 400's and Nikon to make silver d40's is beyond me, they look terrible.

This thing, well, got to be designed for Chelsea and Cheshire surely.

Frankly its a smart thing to do. Offer choice, some people like different colours. Ipod is proof of this. This is the day and age of choice and of personalizing things. If they made a pink 1000D, it would sell. With the cameras from the lower end I imagine this works better. I have to admit, I couldnt see a pink D3x selling so well ;P

I'm not sure about the white body, but see nothing wrong with coloured bodies
