White rose

I think that is a nicely composed shot Dave, with good DoF, and the right choice of background, which means that there is nothing to distract from the star of the show.

The image is superb :clap: but the rose itself looks past it's bbd IMO, a bit brown round the edges and the first thing I noticed, sorry. :crying:
 
I like this. It's comfortable and invites study.

Ambivalent about the frame. Could possibly be narrowed to a key line so it frames rather than dominates the image.

The title is a little superfluous and to quote John Cleese 'states the bleedin' obviouse!' Maybe you should think of a title that reflects that the bloom is a little damaged around the edges while still perfect in the centre?

Possibly. I quite like the fact that the bloom isn't perfect. There are loads of perfect rose photos. This isn't and it's the better for it IMO. It makes it stand out a little, so turn a vice into a virtue!
