Wild White Tailed Eagle

For some reason i think i never posted this back last year when i photographed it.This was the only time on my trip where i actually photographed an eagle head on, all the others are flying around or sat on the ground.It looks more dramatic in a larger size than it does on this forum.Click image for larger view

Great capture. You can really see how his wings are working

Interesting angle and as mentioned already - you do get a feel for the actual anatomy of the wings.

he flew about 8 feet over the hide on this occasion.He had taken off just a few meters back and was trying to get some distance between himself and the ground.He obviously saw us in the hide by just looking at his eyes.Just one of those moments you never forget.

He's having you on lads it's a stuffed one me and Greg hung over the hide for him to get a shot of a bird that looked like it was moving He uses a Nikon you know

Joking aside Mark a really good capture and we had a great time I was toying with the idea of going back that's how much I enjoyed it.
