Nicely captured set of images Lammie ... (y) ... could probably benefit from a little more processing to bring out the colours a little more imgo ... :D

We've been seeing these in our garden for the past week but they are so quick and elusive it's not been possible to take a photo yet ... :shrug:

Wow! I love the first one. I agree about the processing though, a little noise reduction might help iron out the backgrounds too. but still.. you lucky thang :)
 
Thanks for your comments Ven and Jo.I was trying out the 1.4x extender on my 100-400 lens with the tape on the pins so I could get AF to take these shots, it was also a dull day with sea mist giving poor visibility. I was rather pleased with the outcome as the idea was to see how the lens and extender worked with the taped pins.
