Fortunately, it's just the grip that's been damaged.
I'd be looking for a replacement then, as the front jog wheel no longer works.

be barely worth claiming when mpb have grips for the 200D for 69 quid - excess / the premium increase for claim is probably more than that

As moose says, hardly worth claiming.
If I'd damaged the camera and had new for old cover, then it would be a different story.
