Hi gang.

Some of you will have seen my recent thread asking about an L-Glass alternative, but I took the good advice given and splashed out the extra on a 70-200L f4. I ordered it with Crazy Cameras, as they had it new for £457, a bargain, or so I thought. I very nearly got my fingers burnt.

Anyway, with that in mind, I've learned a valuable lesson, and being pretty new to buying kit, I'm wondering what the word is about UK, distributors. I'm prepared to pay the extra 90 quid or whatever it may be to buy from a reputable, UK company and I was just wondering who you'd recommend?

I've tried PM-ing Kerso, but his box is full, :lol: .
 
You could always try Jessops, I have just got my 70-200mm L f4 there.

Try and find it local for a cheeper price then go and barter with the jessops people (pricematch) not online though.

I got mine for £545 in the end I think, they won't **** you around with ******** excuses.

you can contact kerso through his ebay shop and tell him you are from TP (he gives a special deal to TP members if they don't buy through ebay.

I've never actually bought from him as I've bought everything secondhand, but he seems a very approachable decent sort.
 
I got mine from Kerso a couple of year ago.

Very quick service from him and at a good price too.
 
Got my 100-400L from Kerso too, and since your from Ayrshire if your not too sure about sending the money off to him first you can go and pay and collect in person...with prior arrangement of course. I did this with my lens because I was too impatient to wait. :) Seems he doesn't have much on his site just now so drop him a email.

I'll let you know how things go, got my eye on a few S/H ones too but I'll probably end up buying new.
