Why are iPad cases ugly and so expensive?

Why is that iPad cases are all ugly and so expensive?

Does anyone have any recommendations.

I think the ones with the louvred magnetic covers look really good? I've got a 7" cheap (fake) leather Android tablet case from the bay and that's been amazing.

Sandstrom do a nice leather one, cost me around £40 though.

They are Apple so obviously, pricewise it's a ripoff.

However, like all their products, the cases look good!

used to have a colcasac, that was a nice case. unfortunately it didnt fit with my casemate barely there so went with a £20 belkin which is pretty good.
