Why do lioness's paint their toe-nails green?

Hi Chris. More great shots. I think I like the last one the best because there are less twigs in the way but the second is a lovely colour (y)

Thanks Gary (y) It was a bloody nightmare,
what with the chain link fence, the stand off barrier
and the bloody twigs!

I'm surprised I got the shots TBH!

You did well!

Reminds me of my Honeymoon...no joke...we went to a wildlife park and walked with Lions. Amazing experience. I'll have to dig out the pictures at some point.

Still, nice to see them in Whipsnade away from all that scratched glass!!! Godd to shoot through if you want extreme soft focus shots though!!!

That sounds like a hell of a lot of fun (y)

If you get the angle right, and keep your lens hood tight against the glass,
to cut out the reflexions you can get some passable shots.
But like everything else it takes practice :)

Nice one Chris, not seen them in the trees ar whipsnade, did get some cubs at Woburn once.
Still when the blokes get too persistent what is a gal to do lol

Nicely spotted & caught :D

If you take it through the same glass at ankle height, this is the soft focus effect I mentioned.

Still not sure if I like it, hence didn't post it originally!

lol Yep he was being persistent
But he did "score" eventually, so maybe we may have cubs, fingers crossed ;)
All the times I have gone there, I've never seen them in the trees either.
Thanks for dropping by Ingrid (y)

Yep thats the problem there, its where the lions try and eat the kids through the glass :D
The only real chance if they are standing or sitting so you can shoot over
the scratches

Lighting in the second shot is lovely

Thanks and I appreciate you taking the time to comment (y)

Well captured Chris (y) Makes a change to see them somewhere other than on the ground (y)
