Why do people insist on going into hides, not in the quietest manner, ask if you've seen a kingfisher....then when you say no...they walk out. :bang:

Had this at the kingfisher hide at our local reserve earlier this year. I'd not seen one, and I'm sure that was down to the noisy buggers about.

I was alone in the hide and one person did exactly as you described but with a slightly disdainful tone while looking at me down her nose (I'm not exactly a clean cut chap) so I just replied with 'Yes, but you just scared it off'

Thing is there are some really lovely people there and they talk and make the effort to wait with you and in some cases give help and advice, and its almost like others rush in and ask and talk down to you, treat you as if its your job to be there waiting!
