Why is it my D90 over does the black levels

When I finish a shoot and do the PP, I always find I have to pull the black levels down.

is there a setting on the camera that will let me adjust this, (apart from exposure compensation)

I shoot in RAW too

What PP software are you using? If it's Lightroom the blacks level defaults to 5. Just make a preset with it at 0 and load that on import if it bothers you.
