Why should I buy L glass

Wrong way. Buy a few L lenses if you can afford to and then upgrade your camera

Always get improved glass before bodies that's what I was told when I started out and tried to ignore it but realised when I sold an L lens as it wasn't great on my 350D, wish I knew then what I know now.

Cheers for the responses guys. I think im heading in the right direction now lol :D

Why should you buy L glass ?

1: You may have spent good money on a camera body that will notice the difference.

2: You may (depending on the model) want wather sealing

3: You may be out there in the rough and tumble and benefit from robust build quality.

4: You may wish to have the security of resale value.

If your on FF and want a Canon UWA zoom then you have no option but to buy an L

16-35 or 17-40 that's it .

Hmmm, not quite.

Sigma 12-24 and Sigma 15-30 are both pretty decent, though possibly not as good as the L equivalent.

Edit - or do you mean Canon as in Only *Canon* lens??

Is it wrong that as soon as I load up TP in my browser, I go straight to the for sale canon section?
