I have been reading a new magazine in which they revierw the new tamron 24-70 2.8 vc.
Its been rated highly but says it is soft at 2.8 and offers a 2 stop advantage with vc switched on.
The nikon as far as im aware is pretty much sharp throughout from 2.8
At almost identical prices why would anyone choose to buy the tamron?
Is the vc that much of an advantage even tho9ugh you would have to shoot at f4 to get a sharp image?
Or would shopoting at f4 vc be better than the nikon at 2.8 as more would be in focus?
Im looking to buy the nikon but just wondering if the new tamron changes things??
