Why we love steam trains

Well there you go, learn something every day. I didn't realize they had all that gubbins inside them! must make a helluva bang when they go pop.

Thanks for that, Ken. An uncle of mine has a 6" scale traction engine so I'll send him the link. The boiler inspections make a car MOT look a bit basic!
 
A few of those look like they crashed in to alien or even maybe predator :D

The gubbins is pipes that the flue gasses flow through heating the water
